Medscape Partners with MPNRF to help MF patients work with their care teams

  • MPNRF | April 29, 2024

Through a strategic collaboration between MPN Research Foundation and Medscape, people living with myelofibrosis (MF) and their care partners can learn more about MF, then test their knowledge about this chronic blood cancer. In addition to providing basic facts about primary and secondary myelofibrosis, this interactive exercise includes current insight about how to manage your MF. It offers help with talking to your doctor and healthcare team about your symptoms and treatment, throughout diagnosis and disease management, so you can work together as a team.

Through this resource, friends and family or anyone who wants to understand more about MF will learn about:

    • What MF is and its symptoms and complications
    • The different types of MF
    • Ways to help manage MF and its symptoms
    • Making a treatment plan with an MF doctor and healthcare team
    • Questions you can ask

Certain medicines listed may not be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for myelofibrosis but are recommended by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). MPN Research Foundation works with NCCN on the creation and updating of its MPN Patient Guidelines.
