Help Advance Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPN) Research from Home and Earn $100

  • MPNRF | July 7, 2021

The MPN Research Foundation is reaching out to the MPN patient community to raise awareness about an opportunity for patients 18 years of age or older with Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPN). Patients who qualify can support research by providing a one-time blood donation from home. The blood sample will be collected by a mobile medical professional staffed by Sanguine Biosciences at a time that is mutually convenient and compensation of a $100 gift card will be provided.

The goal is to collect samples from 20 myelofibrosis or essential thrombocythemia patients with a CALR mutation for research to be conducted by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals relating to MPNs. This will include genomic studies allowing scientists to more deeply understand the functions of genes in relation to these diseases and assist researchers in developing new treatments.

You may qualify to participate if you:

    • • Are 18 years of age or over
    • • Live in the United States
    • • Have been diagnosed with myelofibrosis or essential thrombocythemia
    • • Have a documented calreticulin (CALR) gene mutation

With the concern regarding the spread of COVID-19, all mobile medical professionals will be provided personal protective equipment (PPE) including gowns, face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and alcohol wipes in order to protect our participants and staff against the spread of the virus.
