The CREATE (CRISPR/Cas enhanced autologous transplant exploration) Seminar is a multidisciplinary on-going process to evaluate the potential use of gene-edited cells in myelofibrosis and other hematologic stem cell transplantation settings.
Establish feasibility of gene edited autologous transplant and help lay the foundation for research and development of alternative implementation paths.
Rachel Haurwitz. PhD is a co-founder of Caribou Biosciences and has been president and CEO since its inception. She has extensive research experience in the field of CRISPR biology and has contributed both to the discovery of components of the CRISPR immune system and to the invention of new technologies based on CRISPR-associated proteins. In 2014, she was named by Forbes Magazine to the “30 Under 30” list in Science and Healthcare.
Dr. Ann Mullally, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, is a physician-scientist and translational cancer researcher in the field of myeloid malignancies, with a particular focus on myeloproliferative neoplasms and hematopoietic stem cells. Her laboratory studies the genetics, biology and therapy of MPNs using primary human tissue samples and murine models.

Format - In this first meeting, a small invited group of hematologists, transplantation specialists, hematologic researchers, and genetic scientists will hear two brief presentations, one on CRISPR/Cas and gene editing, one on the mutational landscape of MPNs. The Seminar will provide the opportunity for an exchange of views and questions in an open, moderated format.
